Driving directions:
The Packard Center is located in Annandale Community Park at 4022
Hummer Road.
General orientation: If the Beltway were the circle around a clock face and noon was Wheaton and route 66 was nine o’clock, then the park would be just inside the edge at roughly 8 o’clock. The park is two blocks in from the Beltway, just off Little River Turnpike.
Get off the Beltway at Little River Turnpike (Rte. 236) and go
east toward Annandale. Immediately get into the left
lane, and make a left at the first light onto Hummer Road. Drive about a
block and a half until the road starts to bend to your right. You will see
a sign on the LEFT side of the street for Annandale Community Park;
that’s what you’re looking for. Turn left into that driveway. When the
driveway splits, take the fork to the right. Continue up the hill and park
in the parking lot on the left by the Packard Center. When you enter the
front door, you will be in Artisan United’s Gallery. Go straight ahead to
the rear of the building and make a left at the end of the hallway. The
large conference room where the workshops are held will be on the second floor.
If Fairfax County public schools are closed for a weather emergency, class will be cancelled.
