I came across an interesting version of a color picker on the web today designed by Jim Bumgardner = Color Fields Experimental Colr Pickr. You are able to pick from several different themes that include:Color Fields, Flowers, Crayon Box, Squared Circle, Graffiti, Flickr Central, Doors and Windows, Macro, Textures, Urban Decay, Catchy Colors, Stock Repository and JPG Magazine. By moving our mouse and then clicking on a color wheel, you select a color and a set of related images appear.
If you are looking for color inspiration in your polymer clay work this site may help you generate ideas…especially by pivoting off one of your favorite colors.
And here is where the “side tracked” aspect comes in…Jim Bumgardner’s blog links to another fun program he has designed where you can generate your own kaleidoscope image by uploading a jpg URL and then playing with your mouse. The instructions are simple and there is a Flickr site where you can share your images.
Have a playful weekend.
Great inspiration, Lindly!
